Default Problem with Ford Salesman

Got a problem and I don't know what to do. I've struck a deal on a 2010 SCrew, and I've put down a deposit. I feel like I've been misled on how I can use the incentives that change between when I ordered and when I take delivery. I also was told I could have an AutoStart remote started installed with the Free Accessories deal, but now the accessories guy tells me I can only get the short range, not so good Ford one.

Does anyone have any advice for me on how to handle this situation? I called the saleman on Saturday and was treated like I was a complete incovenience. Is there any way I can get that "non refundable" deposit back? Maybe even part of it? I just don't want to deal with this dealership anymore now after being misled.

talk to the owner. explain your situation to him, if he's an *** then tell him you would like your money back and take your business elsewhere

I have had something like that happen to me.
1. I bought a new truck from a dealer they said take the truck and come back Monday to finalize the papers. Well they raised the price. so I gave them back the keys. they changed what they agreed on . so the deal was off.
2. I bought a new GMC ck35000 made the deal for a set price. they wanted to lease the truck to me. but I went out and got the funds from my credit union. come to find out they had profit hidden in the lease. and when I came up with my own money they changed the price . This time they had 2500 deposit of mine. the truck was a dealer trade but wasn't in yet and they were going to hold the check. I sent the sales man to the GM office to get my ck. Meanwhile I looked on the paper work found who had the truck called them and made the good deal.
the Salesman came back and told me no check I had made the deal. I told him that he lied to me and I want my money back. I got up and walked straight into the GM's office during a meeting and got my ck.

don't let them screw you! you have rights!

sounds like they're being dishonest and they might fit into one of the categories listed here:

Simple, you wrote a check......Cancel the check with your financial institution. If you paid with cash, then you might be screwed.Check your local laws on that one though.

as soon as they have a build sheet and a vin, you can lock in the incentives. no need to wait for delivery, or even it to be built. As for the autostart, i would have guessed that if it was a ford incentive you would only get the pos ford autostart. but if they did mislead you on that or anything else, screw them. Even if they already have it ordered, they can just put it on the lot or dealer trade it.

Update:

I went in today to speak with the salesman and the word is out...I'm an unhappy customer. I waited for 30 minutes in the dealership with people walking around me until someone asked how they could help.

I am trying hard not to question the saleman's intentions and I believe that this is his standard pitch, but he needs to know that some of it is very misleading. If he hasn't heard this before its just because nobody has told him.

Eventually the salesman entered the showroom, took a casual glance at me and pretended not to see me...and went home as it was end of the day. I ended up speaking with the sales mgr and after venting and explaining my position, he said we should wait for the salesman to be around before we go further. I completely agreed, I'm not wild and angry, just pretty unhappy about how things are proceeding. He then simply says to me, is there anything about the vehicle you would change? I said yes, he says "do you want to change your order?" and I was shocked...I didn't think they would just offer that up to me. I didn't know what to say, I didn't go there wanting to change, it was to explain the sales tactics were totally above board. Anyway, I ended up working with another manager to build a new truck with the 5.4 and 3.55 LS and the price is now only $265 more than the 4.6. I left without making any decisions, but I'll tell you, that was a helluva way to diffuse me...I kind of left in a daze .

Well thats good. Guess you can't let one bad salesman ruin the rep of a whole dealership.

the problem with that is, they don't stamp the VIN numbers until the truck is almost completely built. the incentives must be tied to a VIN, so it's very hard to get the incentives locked in at the time of order. only select Ford dealerships are allowed to.
