Would recommend disconnecting the Amp Powerstep (and any other electrical mod' you've done) to see if the issue continues.

Need to start checking for a draw ...

Already there, no draw there, pulled the fuse. Talked with their tech support going to send me a new controller as that would be the only thing that could even possibly cause a problem. The 4 wires that tap in just look for a voltage of the interior light coming on.

From Ford workshop manual

"If the vehicle battery has been charged or battery replaced, it takes approximately 8 hours for the BCM to learn the new battery state of charge. During this 8 hour period, the vehicle must be undisturbed, with no doors opened or keyless entry buttons pressed. If the vehicle is used before the BCM is allowed to learn the new battery state of charge, engine off load shedding may occur earlier than normal and a message may be displayed."

so, no, if battery is replaced it must be left undisturbed after the replacement, not driven or anything, if not then you will more than likely have issues, draining battery, radio/nav shutting down, heated seats not working, etc. Try it and let us know, what's to lose seeing as all the issues you are having. Disconnect battery, wait 10 minutes, reconnect and let sit for 8 hours. I know, never heard of it, sounds stupid/crazy, but with all the electronics on these new vehicles, who knows, I've heard of stranger crap before.

I'll try it tonight. Can't hurt to do it. Thanks

The one thought I have about the relearn part, is that when they put the new battery in last time, it cured the problem right away, even as I left the dealership. Stayed fixed for over a month. This time they recharged the battery and now it's 'fixed' again.

Only thing I can think of is that it is a new/fully charged battery but the truck doesn't know it and continues the old cycle which maintains the battery for a while and then it screws up. Could be why the problems are intermittent on other trucks having similar issues. Again, not all trucks have this, but on a FX4 luxury I'd bet it is. Ford started this in 2011 on F150s, not sure about other vehicles. Electrical issues can be a pia to figure out. Hope this works for you.
