Default OEM hitch vs aftermarket

I bought my truck w/o a hitch and now regret it. I really like the look of the oem but dont know if I could purchase it seperatly or I should just get an aftermarket hitch put on. Thanks for the help.

I would suggest going with an after market. However, you should check out a local hitch place because you'll want to have a tranny cooler installed as well. This is included in the standard tow package and is highly recommended.

I put an aftermarket hitch, but had the Ford Aux transmission cooler installed also.

On the 2010. tranny cooler comes in the Max tow package, not the standard.

And for towing around in the moderate flatlands of Texas and Louisiana and Arkansas, I haven't needed a tranny cooler yet. Mine hasn't nudged from it's normal spot and I've pulled some heavy stuff. But it never hurts to have it.
