Private Cash?Bonus Cash?

Morning Ford Lovers, I'm about finished working a deal for a new truck, my salesman informed me I cannot use either coupon due to the fact he is selling me the truck at invoice. It's not a deal killer but I wanted to use that money for some add-ons. Does this sound right to you guys and gals?????

You are able to use it even if he's selling it at invoice. Read the small print on the bottom of the coupon.

Absolutely not right. If you have a private cash offer coupon from Ford, it is able to be combined with their other incentives, and the dealer's selling price has no bearing whatsoever on whether or not it can be used. I assume the dealer can choose whether or not to accept it, but why wouldn't they? It's Ford that is forking up the cash, not them, so there's no reason for them not to do it for you.

If it's the Ford Bonus Cash, that may be a different story in terms of what offer you've selected. If you're going with low or zero interest financing from Ford, you may not be eligible for bonus cash. But either way, the price the dealer is selling you the truck for is NOT the reason why you would not be eligible.

I purchased mine for $1000 under invoice, used 0% for 60 months financing from Ford, and had a $750 private offer coupon. No issues combining the two offers from Ford.

I just recently ordered a brochure just to see the coupon. The small print showed something about only good with public offers and not private offers. Not sure what a private offer is? I really wanted it to see if you could use it on a raptor, you can not, darn it.

Thanks for the answers, that's the way I see it also, I just don't want to be an ass if I'm not right, but when I am right I will pull out my a-hole card. I'm hoping I can use both.

Invoice isn't a good price. You can do better depending on the model you're buying.

Ask your dealer to give you a print out of the VINCENT, which tells them all the offers for which you are eligible from Ford. The dealer plugs your name/address into the system and it spits out a nice sheet that you can look at. If they won't give this to you, I'd suggest finding another dealer because they are trying to hide something.

The dealer printed me off all the rebates just like this as well. Heck, we found another 1,000 on the V8 he wasn't even aware of (this was in Jan).

PLUS another 2,000 because I had a ranger (that wasn't published anywhere else either).

Umm, something is rotten in the state of Denmark. I'm just spitballing here, but he may be telling you this and then do some imaginative paperwork to get that money himself. I hope I'm wrong here, but he should know the rules. These $750 coupons have been around for several years. My dealer sold mine at invoice, and took the $750 coupon as well. He just added to the other incentives.
