Thank you all for the opinions. I found a few nice trucks by me I'm gonna test drive, ecoboost and 5.0
It's nice to have this truck but its expensive, and the diesel world just sucks you in haha

F150 with the 6.2L gasser before they are all gone at the end of the 2014 run.
Supercharge it later. Then you will have something many here could only dream of... a mad torqueing machine with more horespwoer than any tire you put on it can handle. Driven carefully, you will still get all the ride and mileage characteristics you require.
For example, see: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/instal...vidson-236502/

I test drove a '12 SCREW ecoboost with a 6.5' bed. Man it was nice, a little outta my price range but i was impressed with the ride and it had the power there

I don't have a 5th wheel. Most I'd be hauling would be wood for camp or my quad in the bed. Maybe some mulch or rocks for landscaping but that's about it

Really, 2013 F150 Eco SCREW and never been back to the dealer for anything. So far flawless. Compare the number of complaints you read on these forums, filter out the illegitimate ones and then compare the valid complaint number to the number of trucks built and sold. The 5.0 isn't the perfect engine either, the rest of the truck is the same.

He's wrong, the Eco is a reliable motor. Coming from a diesel, the 5.0 will feel, like a honda civic motor. Best of luck in your search. I think the f150 platform will suit you well with the better ride and lower maintenance. If you choose the 5.0 just test drive it to know what you are buying so you have no regrets.... Maybe it will be fine and maybe not. It does sound nice.
