Default Power adjustable pedals

I just traded in a 2010 F150 super cab for a 2013 F150, when adjusting the pedals on the 2013 the mechanism seems to be very noisy. The 2010 that I had didn't sound that noisy. Has Ford redesigned the pedal mechanism?...does anyone else find this to be noisy?

I have a 2010 and mine are loud. I'm glad that my wife does not drive it too often. My wife also did point out one design flaw. When the pedals move the move toward you, but also up. This moves the pedals high up off the floor, making it impossible to have your foot on the floor.

I don't know if it is just me but I can't get the pedals in a position I like. I'm a tall guy so the seat is all the way back, pedals all the way forward. I can tilt the rear seat base down for more leg room but start to loose good reach to steering wheel (mine does not telescope).

The pedals are positioned more like a sports car pushing toward the firewall rather than the floor. Brake pedal is the worst since it is raised above the gas pedal. My foot has to contort some to rest on the floor and brake pedal at the same time.

I move mine while im driving. My kids ask what the noise is and I tell them it's the evil truck spirit and if they argue or keep asking "are we there yet" it will steal their sole. Hey, sometimes you gotta use what's available to you.

I was adjusting my pedals today during my first long drive my '13, to find the most comfortable seating position for me. I didn't notice the adjustment being noisy, but I did notice, as Prmdc1 point out, the pedals move up off the floor as the pedals are moved closer to the driver. I'm a short guy, so I found that a little strange. I was still able to get a comfortable position, though.

I think that's the point. My sister is extremely short, 4'10. She has borrowed my truck and needs the pedals to come up higher all the way. She can't reach the floor with her feet.

That's my wife. She is 4 11. Her complaint is that she has to hold her legs up to touch the pedals. She thinks that if they just came forward they would be better. I would not know, nor do I care. I just tell her not to drive the truck.

Sometimes I find the pedals a little noisier if they haven't been moved in a while. Move them all the way forward/back a few times and they quiet down. I think it's a lubrication thing.

Of course you could do like me and have a wife that's 6'2" tall and you don't have to worry about it.
