Default Post your CB Radio setups!

Maybe I'm blind and I suck at the search function, but I just scrolled through about 20 pages and didn't see any threads on this.

With that being said, I'm wanting to add a CB in the truck mostly for road trips and avoiding traffic and officer friendly.

I have bull rings and don't want to give up my stake pocket tie downs, but I like the look of the antennas mounted there so I'm in a bind.

So post up what you got, and how you're mounting the antennas.

I'd say add Amateur/Ham radio to it as well. not many folks are on the CB anymore.

Don't you need a special license and ugly license plate for that?
Don't know much about either of those at all.

I got a cobra president for like $100 off Powerstroke Army. I will take some pics tonight if you want some from a Super Duty?

Default Here's mine...

Mine mounted in a custom sheet metal box. Took a couple hours to get the cardboard templates right, but looks great (I think). Covered the sheet metal in fabric, but not too happy with the color--plan on changing it soon.

This is exactly what I have been wanting to do. Glad to see someone has done it and it looks great! I will probably use plywood and wrap it with speaker carpet. Want to put a couple cell phone holders in there, a place for my tuner and maybe have enough room leftover for my fire dept light controller/siren.
