Nope, to me, its the front passenger door and front right fender.
The rear door matches the bed.
Look closely and see if the fender matches the hood.
From the small section I can see in that one picture it does not.

I am not an expert at body imperfections, but 2 weeks after I bought my vehicle, I started to be suspicious about a possible repainted rear door. And today under some strong sunlight, I was quite sure my passenger side rear door had been repainted. I checked my photos on computer and I became more sure about that.

They sold me this vehicle as brand new, but it looks like I got a damaged vehicle. I won't care while I'll be owning the vehicle but what I care is when the time comes for selling it. For sure I will be selling it for less.

Please check the photos and give your opinions. There is 1,500 km. on it right now and it's already been 1 month since I got the vehicle. I think it's too late to make a complaint to the dealer. What do you advise me?

Here are the photos;

is it just the passenger side

Looks like I am in deep ****..

I opened a thread for my new vehicle before. There you can see the other pictures. There is not very clear view of hood and fenders, but you can have a look at different angles.

For sure there has been damage on this vehicle. The thing is what parts had the damage?

And how am I gonna make them admit their fault? What I am planning is to call them tomorrow in the morning. 99% they won't accept and then I am planning to call Ford Canada.

Do you think I'd have trouble because of accessories (especially the Borla ATAK and 275/60/20 BF Goodrich tires) installed on my truck?

What do you think?

good luck ... if there was that much damage there should be documentation somewhere at the dealer. if they don't admit it and your sure, go to the law - probably civil matter but not familiar with Canadian law
Yeah not sure how Canada handles it, but here, if it's damaged before it's sold, there's no documentation. It's done under the radar. Vehicle has not been registered yet.

Also hard to prove how/when it was damaged if there is no documentation. Damage/resprays happen at the factory level too.

I would do some digging see what happened and at least get the paint matched, for a factory colour the dealer should be ashamed of that work. Kinda why you have to do your own due diligence and look over before you buy, I spent 15 mins just going over the paint/body panels.

I looked at the vehicle before shaking hands, not long actually, maybe for 5 mins. If I looked for 15 mins. still I wouldn't notice that.

The color difference is so noticeable on photos, but not this much in person. For an expert, it is noticeable in every condition at any angle though, for sure. However, I am not that much expert, so it took me 1 month to notice the fault, just under certain amount of daylight.

I had a similar problem with a new Corvette I purchased a few years ago. In the right light it looked like the front fender was a different color and everyone was sure it was repainted before I got it.

After a long battle with GM to take the car back and getting no where, an engineer from the Bowling Green Kentucky assembly plant reached out to me and had me bring the car back down and they replaced every painted panel, doors, roof, hood, with new ones.

By the marking on the back of the panels they could tell something happened with the paint robots on the door and quarter panel.

Point being, maybe your truck was never damaged either. I would take it to a body shop that can measure paint thickness, they should be able to tell if it was repainted. I am going to go against the general opinion and say it came from the factory that way. Unless it was a terrible body shop, they would have blended a repair and not panel painted one like that.

Heres a picture of my Vette before it got repaneled. It looked terrible in the sun but ok in the shade.

As others have said there are lots of body repairs done on new vehicles. Many of them in the assembly plant. I know a guy that works for BMW and they have a whole team of paintless dent guys after final assembly and he works in the paint shop repairing damaged body panels...some of them to the point of cutting, welding, grinding, brazing, etc....

If you look at the roof...(unless the roof was damaged and painted...not likely)...the passenger door (at least) and possibly the bedside are different hues of silver.
