If anyone wants to buy a day old pioneer (without the original box), I'll give this one up for cheap.

Which model did you go with?

same here, i think the sony may be a tad louder.

Wondering if the Pioneer sub needs a bit more power to drive for similar volume as OEM? On a 175 mile drive yesterday, my Pioneer sounded smooth at low to mid volume (radio certainly not cranked up). Honestly unsure which one sounds better - especially with polyfil already added...

Glad I'm not the only one. It's not that it sounds bad, I just feel the difference is indistinguishable between the two. And for what it's worth, I do have poly in my box also.

I just installed this system today and all I can say is wow! I have the bass turned way down. It hits really hard. But to clarify the sub is a 10" not 20". Lol. Was worth every penny in my book.

The Part number is: DL3Z-18808-A
it's $1,300 from the dealer, but you can find it WAY cheaper on Ebay.

I am still in the process of installing mine, but you can find the install videos online here :

It says not for the Sony with the sub. Can you still use it if you have the sub and replace the Sony sub with this unit?
