possible tranny slip
Not to sure but the tranny has been acting funny. I was going down a row in a parking lot and it came to a dead end I was almost stopped and clicked it into reverse and it hesitated when I hit the gas like RPM very little movement then it went just fine. Not sure if it was because I was still rolling forward or what but, this morning I was accelerating from a stop sign and it went to shift up to the next gear 5th or 6th and the rpms went up for a split second and then it shifted just fine and hasn't done it since. What do you guys think is going on? Its an 09 with 72k on it

Mine does funky stuff sometimes. I know the trannys in these like said above can be kinda quirky. I wouldnt worry much about it unless it does it all the time.

I have 93K miles on my 09.. They do weird things..
On the first take off cold, it will do fine to 3rd, then it feels like it goes from 3rd to 2nd and on to 4th.. I've learned to expect it and ease off the gas when it comes time to shift..
I bet you are fine.. Just Ford's funky programming... I'd like to have the programming on these done on mine, but do NOT want to pay $95 labor to have it done...

That's good to know they are funky. It was cold both times it happened. I floored it and broke the tires loose on a dirt road and spun them on pavement. Been thinking of getting a tuner think it'll help?

Hey OP there is a TSB'S out about that problem. The TSB says that there are a few electric servo's in the valve body that need to be replaced it is more of a problem when cold, the tranny when placed into gear seems to take a few seconds before the truck will move. The valve body needs to be dropped in order to get at the servos. Sorry, but I don't have the TSB number handy. Hope this helps...
