Default possible trade

Hello all,

I'm "visiting" from the 04-08 room......
I am looking at possibly trading my 2008 FX4 supercrew in on a certified 2009 lariat 4x4 supercrew, was wondering if those of you with an 09-10 model are happy with them?

Thanks!

I have a 2010 2WD XLT SuperCrew with the 5.4, and I love it. Lariat is a nice trim. I like the newer bodystyle vs the older bodystyle. Everything will seem newer and nicer....

GO FOR IT!

I was actually looking to upgrade to a '13 but after going to my dealer and sitting in and playing with the interior for about 20 mins, I decided to keep my '10. I think my nav system is a bit better than the MFT of the new trucks and there wasn't enough changes to upgrade. I do have a remote start and a bunch of other mods so starting over after only 2 yrs (bought my truck new 2/11), I'm not ready to do all the mods again.

Going 08 to 2010 I wouldn't bother. Trading for a 2011+ is the way to go. You will be super impressed by the new motors (I chose Eco and never looked back).

Thank you for the replies, If the dealer can get the numbers where I need them, I will test drive it tomorrow.

If it matters I say that as I traded my 08 for an 11 with Eco. Just traded my 11 for the '13 for financial reasons only (got rid of a car at the same time). The 08 is a nice truck an cosmetically I'd say it may have a more comfortable interior just slightly. The technologies in the newer trucks and the new engines make the trade worth while for sure. The test drive tells all.

I traded my 2004 for a 2011 and just traded my 2011 for a 2013. If you are defiantly going to trade I would trade for a 2011 like was stated in an earlier post. To me the upgraded engines make a huge difference over the 09-10 models. I don't know what it is but it just didn't seem like much of an upgrade when I was looking at the 2010's before I purchased my 2011. Other than better build quality and materials over the 04. The new engines and instrument cluster on the 2011s and newer just make you feel like your driving a current gen truck.

Another vote to keep your '08 until you can trade for a '11 or newer/
