Bad reports on this forum from a few with the Scoshe.

OP, if your going to go through all of that you might as well do something to make an improvement like a Kenwood, Pioneer etc. and the Maestro set up.

....or even the offering from Alpine.

My Kenwood 892 HU, came with the Fugly Metra radio bezel. Looks terrible with the necessary trim piece! I repladed it for the Scosche radio bezel, and love the fit and finish of the Scosche!

I say, decide for yourself!

I probably should have mentioned I have a 2012. I just like the look of the stock set better.

You may be mistaken with the metra setup which sucks compared to the Scorche.

I believe OP is talking about adding the stock 8" system which would be a lot more involved than just getting a nice setup like mentioned here or shown by Todd.

Its been asked a million times, its pretty much impossible to add the oem 8"touchscreen! You can go with the 9" Alpine setup, or a 7" Kenwood Pioneer or Alpine, and kill the crumby 8" ford setup!

Most of the new aftermarket HUs, like my kenwood. Have built in touchscreen HVAC controlls, like oem 8" touchscreens do!

I don't think we are talking about the same thing. You mention Metra. I'm talking about Maestro. Go to post #200 in my link above for an installed pic. The use the same *****/controls as the factory uses. Won't work for the OP though as he has a 2011.

We are, you said Scorche got bad reviews here when it's the Metra kit that gets the bad reviews. These are the install kits for aftermarket HUs.

As to the kit you linked, it's nice but an aftermarket HU with a maestro module will be better for him as opposed to trying and putting in the full blown 8" touchscreen OEM setup in.
