Popping Noise from Bed of 2013
I'm not sure if this is normal as I've never owned a truck...but whenever I go slowly over uneven surfaces(ie pulling into my driveway at an angle) I hear a popping noise coming from the rear of my truck. I have the little step bed thing that slides out, so I don't know if it's that or not.
Just wanted to see if this was normal or if anyone else has experienced it. I have a 2013 F-150 SCREW 4x4 with almost 40K miles. Thanks for any help!

Hmm maybe you need to have some fasteners torqued. Mine is still quiet as the day I bought it Feb of last year but I only have 4800 miles on her.
Check your owners manual in the maintenance section, I think it mentions certain bolts that need checking after so many miles and re-torqued.

Just a thought - after checking for loose bolts - my last truck had bad shocks after only 26,000 miles. If you are at 40k, maybe your shocks aren't controlling the compression/rebound of the rear leaf springs??
When I pulled the shocks off that '08, you could compress them fairly easily and they never rebounded on their own.

My '08 didn't have excessive bouncing, in fact I only realized how bad they were because I upgraded to make it handle better.. I lowered the '08 2".
I'm already replacing my '13 FX2 shocks with Bilstein 5100's

Any luck tracking down the source of the popping noise? You can always bring this to the attention of your dealership. If needed, you can take them on a test drive so you can replicate the noise. Keep us in the loop; if you need me to step in and assist, PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

Five-0 Ret.
I owned a '97, and an '04 that did the same thing. I never found the problem, and they did it only rarely. Neither my previous '11, or '13 make the noise. All pulling into the same driveway. Strange. Good luck, and please keep us updated. One never knows when he will need the information.
