PLEASE Help... Tires
First off..... yes I have looked for over 3 weeks.... that's why this is driving me crazy!!!! More confused now than when I started.
Just bought 2013 Platinum 4x4..
Tires on it are 275/55-20 Bridgestone dueller Alanza. Rides nice.... but need to change them. Keeping stock wheels..... and do not want rubbing.
Looking for either 275/60-20 or 285/55-20 or any other suggestions. Currently it is stock height but may go with 1.5" front and 2" rear blocks.
Drive 80% on highway, with occasional off road to camp sites or hunting lodge. Need more aggressive look and stance to fill out wheel wells. Needs to perform well in the rain here in Florida.
Have looked into:
Toyo AT2 - p rated
Michelin MS2 (great reviews but just look boring) and AT2
Bridgestone Revo
Nitto Terra Grappler ( had these in 305/50-22 on previous truck and lots of hydroplaning)
Goodyear Silent Armor (they do come in a 285/60-18 but are expensive)
BFG AT (very expensive especially 285/55-20) and Rugged Terrain (like the looks but read bad reviews)
Hankook Dynapro ATM
and
Cooper Zeon LTZ
Help me decide on something so I can get these ordered and stop thinking about it 24/7.
Pics are appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Take a look at falken ziex s/tz04 50,000 mile trad warranty. And they have done great on my wife's Burban.

I know what you mean. Just recently went thru the same thing. Eventually I went with the 275/60/20 Hankook ATM. Reason is the cost and dealer gave me something for my factory tires. Also speedometer was about 2 percent off before now dead on according to my GPS. I really wanted the BFG's but could not justify over $1600. My Hankook were $1056 less $400 trade-in $656 out the door.

If load rating is a concern for you then you may want to look at the Cooper Zeons. They are still P rated but at a 119 rating whereas most tires in 275/60/20 are either 114 or 115 load rated.
I wish I would have waited for the Zeons instead of getting what was available (Cooper ATP's) just for the load rating peace of mind.

I was is the same boat about a month back. I bought the Cooper Zeon 275/60 for my Platinum. I basically had three reasons: cost; aggressive look; and American made. I do not notice any difference in road noise - had the Pirelli Scorpions before. However, I do have a Magnaflow Cat-back system and usually turn the radio up so take that with a grain of salt. I went with 275/60 because I have the Rancho Quick Lift leveling system and shocks and wanted something to fill in the wheel well more than I want something wider (285/55). I haven't driven many miles yet but the tires have worked well so far in the few hundred miles I have used them. Here is a picture.
