I am currently working with a well known tuner allowing me to fully disable it while retaining ABS function. It's a useless system under a lot of circumstances but helpful to other people in other situations. We are also working on hopefully modifying the locker engagement strategy so it doesn't unlock automatically at 30 mph especially while in 2wd. So far we have a lot of things gone which is great. The 1 wheel speed control still functions as well which is Ford's idea of a limted slip.... using the brakes not a mechanical clutch type LSD.

The owners manual has a full chart that someone no doubt will post for you on what the button does and how it affects the TCS, RSC and Advancetrac functions.

I'm so sick of all this nanny crap on newer vehicles. Traction control on a 4x4 pickup truck.....I don't know whether to laugh or cry at it. Even with it and "advance trac" off, it still steps in to a degree when you don't want it too.

I noticed after playing with it I notice no difference having it on or off when doing a burn out. Idk if that's cause I'm tuned or what.

For those of you that are always telling people to read the manual, I have a question for you.

Do you always read the instructions for everything you buy?

Anyways... Turning the traction control off does help some but the nannies still like to kick in and ruin all the fun. Probably the one thing I hate the most about my truck is the stupid traction control.
