Default What the heck happened to truck prices over the past few years.

Went to get my oil changed at the dealer and took a walk to the '14 F150's and WOW!

I compared "apples to apples" my '11 to the new ones and they went up 10k !

WTF?

I agree! I looked at my 2012 compared to a 2013 and it was up about 4 grand! The thing is what do you pay for one? If you look at most of us I think we on average got 10 grand off! Then look at Kelly Blue Book,,, a 2013 with no miles is 32 grand. The funny thing will be down the road when we are getting 20 grand off, basically getting off what you could have bought a new one for in 2000! I think they should just quit pricing these trucks for 10 grand above what the average shopper is paying and take a Toyota, Nissan, Honda and so on approach... when have you ever heard of 10 grand off of any of there product lines? Go to Mercedes and see if you can get 10 grand off there 100 grand car???? It really does bring new meaning to the phrase,,, Don't pay Sticker price!!! Especially on a Ford Truck!

Rebates offset MSRP.

My '13 was actually cheaper than my '11 due to rebates.

Regardless of what the sticker MSRP says, I still think it's the best value for my money based on performance, comfort and capability.

I paid the same for my 13 based upon dealing and rebates as I did for a Laramie Ram 1/2 ton in early 2009. And this truck stickered about 7000 higher than the Dodge lol. I can't complain. But it would be nice if they just priced them where they sell them and not way above and offer big stupid rebates.

I noticed the same thing when I was looking at superduties. An identical built 13 lariat is almost 10k more than what I paid for my f250 in 2010.
