Default Platinum rim issue

Just bought this truck this week. 2014 platinum and had it delivered to my house without ever seeing it, first problem. But the truck was 3.5hrs away and it was a good deal and exactly what the wife wanted. When I got it I just figured it was something that could easily come off and didn't pay much attention to it. Well apparently it doesn't come off easy. Anyone ever seen this or know how to fix it? Thanks

I think that is probably damage to the clear coat and the only easy solution is to leave them alone or go look for someone selling Platinum wheels on CL. You could have them sand blasted and powder coated or go aftermarket. It doesn't look like it is a matter of hitting them with a good abrasive polish but you could try that first.

So you think sand blasting and powder coating will work? Might do that and powder coat chrome.

There are hundreds of wheel repair shops that specialize in restoring wheels to OEM likeness.

I don't think it would be worth the cost. Personally, I would go aftermarket.

The only one close to me said it would take 2-3 days and $150/tire
