Platinum Power Running Boards
#31
Mine worked flawlessly for the first winter. Today one is stuck down on passenger side. It was stuck half way out for a bit, then worked for a while. It was -20C when it started acting up. Above freezing today but board is still frozen out. Any one know where the sensors are? Might try cleaning them off and save a trip to the dealer.

If you have access to a heated garage, it will probably fix itself if allowed to warm up and dry out.

Running board issues
Hi
I have a 2010 F150 platinum screw with the automatic running boards. I love driving it. It is my first truck. I bought it used with 20,000 miles. It runs great.
I am having trouble with the running boards. Sometimes the drivers side works and sometimes it does not. The passenger side works fine. I took it to the Ford dealer and they are ordering a new motor for it. They said it may take 2 weeks to get the motor. I hope it will solve the problem. So far Ford has been great and so is the Ford dealer I bought it from.
BTW I live in sunny Florida (no snow)
Anyone else having trouble with their automatic running boards?

Noisy Power Running Boards
I purchased my 2022 Plat SCREW PB in November this year. Since day one, I've noticed that the running boards are loud when deploying and retracting. You can hear and feel them when you're in the truck and hear them if you are standing 20 feet away. My son-in-law has a platinum expedition MAX and you can barely hear his running boards when the move. Do any of you with pwr boards have this issue? I'm not sure it is an issue but thought they would be less noisy than they are. Thoughts?

Probably dirty in the moving parts. Probably will start to fail.
