Platinum+Job sites! always cleaning it... neighbors think I'm nuts....
Ok, first I have to admit I'm a little materialistic. But I've always had pretty nice vehichles and they're my jewelry or bling if you wanna put it lin that context. I do own my own house and pay my bills on time so surely there are worst things to be... I drive around all day so my truck is my mobile office(V.P. & Inspector for my Fire sprinkler company) and I like to be comfortable and make an impression not only with our reputation but when I pull up in a nice vehichle.
So today I had a few meetings out on muddy construction sites and it's been raining all day and will do the same for the first part of tomorrow morning. Contractor on the last site I rolled up on loved my Platinum and was amazed by all it's gadgets if you will....
I get home wait till it stops raining and is sprinkling and do a quick wash down of my truck. My neighbor comes over(drives a a beater/weekend-warrior mud truck) and asked me why I was waisting my time and I told him the impression a nice clean truck had made earlier in the day and how it surely landed us the contract.
Am I the only one who can't stand their truck dirty? I didn't buy my truck to go off-roading and mudding, it's a luxury truck.

Clean truck for life! To me, you can tell a lot about a person by the way he treats his truck.

I pay $23 a month for unlimited washes at my local soft touch car wash. I get my money's worth.

Not only my truck but I'm always on my guys asses to have our work trucks somewhat clean and presentable. It's just a status/personality thing... When I pull up to a job site my guys are on and our trucks/van are nice and clean when everyone else vehichles are a mess I feel better about what I'm/we're putting out there.

I also drive through a touchless carwash down by my office every Friday just to knock off any of the gunk underneath the body. It's the only one I've found that leaves my truck spotless when I drive out. And it gets some nasty stuff off their sometimes! Only problem I run into is when someone leaves a paper fast food bag back in the bed and it turns into confetti from the pressure washer......

I tend to clean my vehicle once a week, weather permitting. It was nice when a few years ago I was working at a GM dealership and used to pull into the wash bay every Friday for a good clean.
