Question trouble-shooting power mirrors

My new-to-me F-150 ('09 XLT Supercab 4x4) has power mirrors that don't work. The mirrors themselves are (or appear to be) OEM basic mirrors (no indicators, reflectors, convex, puddle, etc) but are unaffected by the mirror controller in the cab. I've checked the fuse (duh) but am unsure where to look next. Any ideas?

Take the door panel off and see if the wire is disconnected from the switch.

Nope. Haven't had a chance to really dig into it. The mirrors are set (manually) where I need them, and I'm the only driver for now. Tearing into the door panels in January is less than desirable, so I'll put this off for a bit.

I'm not sure how different it would be, but I have a 13. There are two bolts 8mm and two screws 6mm. Just for future reference.
