Nice! Does your truck have anything extra like a bigger engine or anything where it's a police interceptor? I wonder about that every time I see your profile pic on a post lol.

STOKED I found this forum and this thread! I picked up my new 2012 SCrew FX2 EcoBoost Monday afternoon, found this forum Tuesday morning, went by Home Depot on my way home from work Tuesday afternoon, and had blacked out badges before dark on Tuesday. This stuff works great, although I do have to say that I held my breathe on the first spray, it was a little intimidating spraying black paint on my new truck but this product worked as advertised!

Next step is the orange reflectors on the mirrors. I'm also thinking about doing the running boards and the rims. It's a whole lot cheaper to spray than to buy new rims!

My brother is also contemplating dipping his entire car, a red 006 Honda CRV.

Can you pm me pics of the CRV if he does it? Cause my friend wants to do his and I want to know what it would look like

Do you have to use anything but a toothpick to cut a straight line between the badge and the body panel?

I saw the earlier video when the guy coated a Nissan badge, and it looked like he just pulled it to create a clean edge. Is this stuff really that magical?

Yes, it's magic.

There's space between the badge and the body so when you spray, there's a gap so when you pull off, it's a very clean edge. You want about 4-5 coats so it pulls off cleanly.

The toothpick is for the piece in the 0.

I didn't take the plastic step parts off mine and the next morning the plastic had contracted from cooling overnight and I could see 1/8 inch of chrome. Rain and water have since peeled it at that portion of it. Definitely take the plastic pieces off. Don't bother masking the end caps off either. Can you give a more detailed description of how to pop those pieces off please???
