Plastidip the quick and easy way to black things out

I asked this in another plasti-dip thread, but how does this stuff hold up on the front and rear of the vehicles? Are rock chips the worst enemy, and do they destroy the look?

I masked off a 2" X 3" test area on my Platinum tailgate panel. The PlastiDip peeled off with the masking tape. Like HappyHour says, you cannot do a good paint line. It works fine when masking an emblem or bumper. But I couldn't get it to work when trying to mask off a smooth surface. Bummer!

That sucks that's you can't get a fine tape line. I've been debating doing my bumpers and rockers to see if I like the look before diving in and line-x'ing them. My other concern is, will the road salt and sand cause it to be more difficult to remove....

The door handles I taped around and plastidiped them and got on the back side the best I could. There are a few spots where I could easily peel it off but I just treat them like normal and it's stuck for a few months now. I'm sure one day I'll have to redo them. I have been in several car washes and it hasn't come off. As far as the front grill I took it off and painted it and the. Put it back on.

Oh and I've had my bumpers done for about 6 months with no problems. Lots of rocks from dirt roads and sticks slapping it form hunting in the woods. Holds up great. I used 3 coats

I don't have a picture of mine up yet but I did mine about 2 weeks ago. My girlfriend starte complaining that she couldn't get in my truck very easy so steps had to go back on. It's like a plastic rubber if that makes any since so it's go a little grip to it. Sorry I don't have pics but they turned out awesome. I'm at work for 48 hours and only have my phone. I can put some pictures up thursday
