I tried masking off the FORD letters and it was a Bitch. I may try the toothpick

Is there a groove around the letters that makes it easy to follow?

Yes, dip is different than paint. It will stick to a tape line if you try to pull it off unless the dip is still wet. Any gap in a surface being dipped provides its own "tape" line. Spray over it and once it's dry you can just peel off the part you want, in this case the letters. You simply use the toothpick to help you grab (pick) the dip you want to peel.

That is the front. I think they are both the same.

I did both front and back this way, that part that ripped for you was definitely the hardest part... How long did you let it dry? What was the temperature outside? Hot is good bit not too humid...

I let it dry for 40 mins or so. It was dull and no "wet" spots

Temps are 85 and it is a little humid out, probably 40%.

What year is your truck? I don't think that emblem is going to work.
