I'm not from this section (I drive a 2000) but I used it on my tails. I think it was 3 coats for the tails and 4 for the 3rd brake light,it isn't the best thing for lights but hey,$5 a can compared to how much for aftermarket tails? And that VHT Nightshade looks like it barely tints it from what I've seen,I guess I need to get a can and test it but it runs $15 for a single can. In the second picture the tails look bad,but that's because of mud getting on them.

I recommend the VHT. Its very easy to do... And i only did 2 coats on my tails and 3rd. As you can see its pretty dark, but the more coats you apply the darker it gets. Give it a try. I didn't even use a whole can for my 3 lights.

That does look pretty good. Is It easy to remove? With the dip you of course can just peel it off or spray it with Prep all and it comes right off.

Don't take this the wrong but you really need to wet-sand those taillights. They will look so much nicer. Wet sand using 1500 grit, 2000 grit, followed by clearcoat, another round of wet sanding with 2000 grit and than polish them. They will look a million times better.

Im not sure about removal. I've read that it comes off with gasoline, and song other things. I'm sure there's other ways. I wasnt planing on removing it so i didn't pay that much attention.

No worries man! I read that the other day. It does look a little rough up close.. But if you're farther than 1-2 feet from the lights it looks good and you can't really tell. I kind if like them dull because of the Matte black on everything else. They're usually covered in dirt/mud anyways. Lol.
