Thank GOD someone has the same problem as I do.
It comes and goes, and it's right beside my ear. It's a light ticking that if it was anywhere else in the truck you wouldn't hear it, but since it's right beside your ear, it drives me NUTS. I thought it was coming from the B-pillar/seatbelt attachment area. Found this wasn't the case when I unlocked the doors and held the lock plunger, it got better.
I will stick to this thread until someone finds a solution. Or I might just drop by the dealer this weekend.

I just remembered I had a similar issue on the drivers side when cold out. And my drivers side window kept fogging up when it was cold out too. I pulled the small panel off that you can see on side of dash when the door is open and the heat duct wasn't in the boot where it was supposed to be. I lined it all up and now there is no rattle and window never fogs up!
The rattle seemed to come from the door when driving but this wasn't the case. Hopefully this solves someone else's problem too!

I get it when its cold out, I know its not the speaker wires as I zip tied and used industrial velcro for crossover. I know it's not the B pillar as I don't have one being in a Scab. I thought the rear door wasn't closed hard enough but that wasn't it.
I think it is the lock nub that comes up though the panel. It only does it for a bit til warmed up. I listen to my music anyway, lol

i've had every door panel off multiple times searching for rattles. i've wrapped my metal locks with cotton, wrapped the wires, siliconed the lock to the door panel put a shim between the door panel and metal door (down low toward the front) shimmed the wiring harnesses to their receptacle and other stuff that i'm forgetting. rattles drive me crazy and i didn't stop until they were gone.
also, when it's really cold out, the sync box will rattle in the center of upper dash. i took mine out once and it sounds like a spray paint can when you shake it. it's a little tiny metal box directly under the upper dash center bin.
