I don't know if it helps but from my experience in the past with house paint, we would have trouble with paint peeling when we were pulling the tape off at the end of the project. We virtually eliminated that by pulling the tape back on itself rather than at a 90* angle to the surface and in effect the tape almost seemed to "cut" through and leave a crisp line.

I tried to dip the TG Sunday. It was too hot outside and the dip was drying before it hit the TG. Caused a fuzzy texture and looked terrible. A edge dried to the tape as well and peeled but I didn't care at that point because the texture was junk.
I ripped it all off and from start to end the whole dipping process took maybe 30mins. Taping off the TG took the longest.
I tried this method but didn't have luck as it dried so quickly. PlastiDip - Masking, Lines and Stripes on Your Car - How to PlastiDip in Sections - YouTube

It's really good double sided tape, with two positioning tabs (not connecting, just for positioning) that is behind it. I used a heavy fishing line to saw through the tape until it reached the pins , then used a heat gun to warm the metal up and used a small plastic pry bar and slowly worked it free. There are some holes in the sheet metal under the emblem in case you were going to delete the badge like I did which would need some body work to cover up.

The TG badge is different than the front qtr panel ones. The TG one has clips that snap into the TG. There are two of them. Get something under the badge and pry out carefully. I used plastic interior trim removal tools and masking tape to protect the paint. There is double sided tape holding it on too btw.

@The_Machine GriffFX4 so to put the F150 badge back on, do you have to reapply new double sided tape?

Yeah, go to autozone, oreilly's, or whatever and get the good 3m double sided tape, they have a few kinds, but make sure it is the 3m super strength. Use a some alcohol wipes and clean both surfaces, then set it and forget it!
