Pirelli scorpion atr problems
Mine seem to hydro plane very bad at Highway speeds, gotta cut it back to around 55 to be safe. Never had this problem with any other tire, anyone else experience this? It's on a 13 fx4 with 27k miles.

wait. what?
yep, they're just a horrible tire overall. poor tread design and even worse wear patterns. do yourself a big favor and get rid of them. I had Nitto Terra Grapplers in stock size and they performed better in every aspect. I didn't even sacrifice any fuel economy.

I have had zero issues in ice, snow, or rain. 35k on them and they are starting to give in; shoulder tread is a solid block and most of the sip's are gone now with just solid tread blocks. Not to the tread wear indicators but damned close, toyo AT 2's are on order.
Best of luck with the BFG's, I had nothing but trouble with the AT/KO's on my 2005. Wife's SUV had rugged trails and they where decent, wore down fast though. The BFG at/ko 2's look pretty sweet though.

What pressure are you running? I assume they're on 20" wheels.
I've got 14,000 miles on my '13 King Ranch, about 2700 of that is pulling my enclosed car hauler trailer. I run 35 psi in them all the time, and they are solid and stable with or without the trailer in tow.
My tread looks like there's at least another 30,000 miles in them.
I haven't run them in snow conditions or off road, but I've got a lot of miles in rain. Just yesterday I ran in HEAVY rain. On the interstate at 70 mph there was no problem at all, but the major highways drain well and I didn't hit any big puddles. The local roads were awash, but like you said, below 55 I didn't have any problems going through deep puddles at 55 mph or so. I run in heavy rain like that a lot here in FL.
If your tread is getting worn down so that there are no grooves to channel water away, or if you're running too high of a pressure, you can definitely have problems with tires with 27K miles on them - any tire from any manufacturer.
The 335/25-20 tires on the rear of my car are great on the track, or aggressive street driving in DRY conditions, but if it's the least bit wet I have to be VERY careful and slow.
Sorry your Pirellis aren't working too well for you, but mine do a very good job in wet conditions.
