saw this on gearheads.com built on F150 running gear only in 4wd. shows a 4.5 litre diesel along with ecoboost and 5.0. just hope they really make it.

This is extremely old, I seen this in person about 6 years ago at Edmonton Auto show. Unfortunately it will never be made, but it is a really great looking concept!

There's no market for a Bronco anymore, that's why they discontinued it.

I don't know if that would cut it. There may be a small following, but without a commitment, nothing will be built. Consumers are notorious for being enthusiastic about concept vehicles, then lukewarm when the offerings hit the showrooms. People swore never to buy Fords again if they dropped the Ranger, but they dropped it anyway. Then to rebadge an existing offering would be suicide. Purists would argue that it's nothing like past Broncos, and most everyone else would point and exclaim, "nice try Ford, but it's just a rebadged ___________. Way to save a buck." I really believe the Bronco is dead for a reason.

Personally, I'm tired of the "retro throwback" vehicle trend. I've seen enough of it with the modern pony cars, and am glad Ford is doing something with their Mustang to move away from that trend. Technology is moving way too fast for manufacturer nostalgia. Adding technology into a retro style vehicle is too contradictory. I feel like the same thing would happen with the Bronco, and the people that want the Bronco to come back aren't even potential buyers for that vehicle. I guess I just don't understand the practical reasoning for bringing it back, whether it be the name or otherwise. There's just no place for it in the market, just like there wasn't a place for it in the 90's. It's just not a vehicle that people would take seriously IMO.

all this is is the 2004 concept with some new info thrown in to make it sound like it's new and real. I wish it would come out, but it won't. not enough market for it, especially with only 2 doors. If it did though; I would love to have one, but it won't.

As much as I'd like to see the return of the Bronco...Me and most other Bronco enthusiasts probably wouldn't be happy with the results. It would end up being too soccer mom-ish for most enthusiasts. Enthusiasts would want straight axles, manual hubs and t-case and no TC nannies. It would be a complete failure if it didn't have a removable top.

My friend, that is one fine Bronco! As much as I would love to see it's return, market tastes have changed. At least there are still immaculate examples like yours still around to remind us of the good old days.
