06 grand marquis
Hey bro how does your mercury ride at that height, do you have a controlled suspension in the back or just air shocks, what's your setup, because I have an 06 mercury an I wanna go 24" or 26" with airbags in the rear, if it's possible the front too.
Stock height in the front, 2inch drop in the back. 305/30-26 tires. No rubs, but it is extremely close. Not even a finger width between inner fender when turning.
They do kill performance a bit though. My best time at the track was 15.2 with these wheels on, and it seems most others with 5.0L RCSB 2wd are turning at minimum a full second faster. I've got a 2008 Grand Marquis on 22's, and that car picked up 1.2 seconds in the 1/4 mile swapping on a set of 17in drag radials on lightweight rims. And on that car the OD of the tires was the same, so that was entirely based on rotational mass. On the truck the 26's are 4inches larger diameter as well as much heavier, so it is killing the gearing too.
