The red wire off the addacircuit is the positive. Splice that to your equipment, make sure you have the other side grounded to body/frame, and you're set.
meaning my red power wire from the radio to the battery ? (im really retarded when it comes to this ) Im willing to try anything once. Most of the time I screw up and chaulk it down to lesson learned... but I think hooking up a wire would be pretty simple. So what your saying is... run my red wire from my radio (that right now is running straight to the battery with a fuse in it ) into this fuse thing... then plug the fuse thing into a powered panel that works like the way I want it too ( only work with key in ignition ). What do I do with the rest of the red wire (and fuse in it now) that runs to the battery ? Just disregard ?

I just put in a Dash Cam, and I wanted it to work off of accessories as well as stay on after the engine is off, then shut off when I opened the door, just like the radio. I assume you'd want this as well for your 2 way.

For this I took a lead from fuse 38 in the panel located at the passenger's feet. This fuse is actually labelled as "Delayed Accessory" and is a 10A fuse which should be no problem as your trigger to drive a relay.

Works great!!

* my F150 is a 2011, I just noticed your's is an '09, you may want to check to see if fuse 38 works for you?!?

You are worrying me OP. yeah, you get rid of the fused red wire running to your battery... That's always hot. If you add a circuit to switched power, using the dohickey I mentioned (as long as you only want 10-15 amps) then you don't need any extra wires running to the battery.

If the shop installed a ground for you, on your new radio, just leave that alone.

i believe the accessory delayed slot on your passenger kick panel fuse box is different for your year.. look at the schematic in your manual. if u take apart the plastic cover under the steering column, there is a bunch of wires running from the column. the ignition is a thinner gauge than the rest, purple with an orange stripe i believe

Buddy brought over a relay and meter. We found a wire that was live with key, and dead when not. Tapped into that, grounded the relay and kept the live feed to the battery. Works like a charm. Thanks to all those who gave suggestions.
