We got about 6 inches here, just enough to have some fun sliding around campus and dodging school police.

I grew up in Roan Mountain but now I've in Elizabethton. Headed over Dennis Cove yesterday, then to the top of the Roan. First snow with this truck, had to get it out.

Well, looks like the worst of the storm is over in DC. Was a "fun" couple of days. Found out pretty quickly that the Bridgestone Dueler HL's on my truck are garbage in heavy snow but do work pretty well up to about a foot.

Saturday morning, I went outside and tried backing out of the driveway without shoveling at all, which promptly got me stuck in the middle of the street. After a lot of 5k rpm wheelspin, I managed to land it back in the driveway, where it sat all day.

My neighbor had a snowblower and really sped up the process of cleaning things up:

This morning - backed the cars out to fully clear the driveway:

Went exploring in Arlington, which hadn't been plowed nearly as well as Alexandria...

This involved 4 High, rear diff locked and a lot of sideways-and-smiling action:

Went into DC proper to grab drinks with some friends this evening. Weird following this guy down the on-ramp:

Oh hey, I live near this. Neat.
