PTMing the surround will make a huge difference, and maybe black PD the mesh. You're in the same boat as myself, only mines Race Red. I've got the same wheels, really don't like chrome that much, but don't think black wheels would work on mine either. Just sitting back until I see something that might work better than the stockers. A friend suggested, blacking out the inset portion of the spokes, but still, IDK.

All I did was drill 3/4" holes, and tapped into my taillight feed, by splicing, then soldering, then coating with liquid electrical tape. I also filled the back of the lights with RTV to insure they'd stay water tight, and also sprayed undercoating on the raw steel to prevent rusting.
I should likely mention, the lights are actually close to the same brightness as the tails.

Off topic but nice to see another Pale Adobe!! We had a few threads going a while back and very few pictures added. Seems like a rare color!!
