Default 2011 Platinum w/ecoboost electrical oddities

My 2011 Platinum Screw has developed a couple of intermittent problems. Firstly, when I jump in and insert the key, the drivers side mirror moves to the outermost position. When it does this( as i said, its intermittent) i have to then move it back inwards with the joystick

Also, occaisionally my climate control fan will not respond to inputs from the controller, but will only run at the speed it was set at when I last turned the truck off. All other climate controls work fine when thia happens...temp, vent position, a/c, defrost etc....

Any insight? Thnaks in advance.....

The computers in these trucks seems to take more and more of a role in the way everything, and I mean everything, works.

I really don't know what to tell you other than maybe try a hard reset of the system. Like disconnecting the battery etc. and see how it goes.

Definitely get it documented by a Ford service dept. One day when you start it up and the AC controls are not responding, don't turn it off and drive it strait to the dealer leaving it on while you go get the service adviser so he/she can witness it.

I'll take a SWAG at what is going on.

#1 Two sets of keys = two different settings

#2 When you remote start none of the controls work until the key is inserted in the steering column

#3 The owners guide has a wealth of information.

I thought of the key thing, but ive only ever used the one key and I am the only driver. Also, I havent been using the remore start since its summer.
Today, the steering wheel button for the voice command wasnt working either, until I turned it off and restarted it.
Getting flakier and flakier.... Sigh
