To the person wondering about u-bolts.

Your block on the rear axle is in between the axle and leaf pack. Say its a 1" block, the axle is 2", and the leaf pack 1.5". That's a total of 4.5". If you take the block out. You've 4.5" springs for a 3.5" job. Aka, you need new, shorter u bolts.

To the person wondering about a drop shackle. The rear of your leaf springs are attached to a price of metal, and that metal attached to a bracket on the frame. When your leafs get compressed they get slightly longer, so this shackle allows that forward to backward movement. A drop shackle is that metal piece. But it's 1,2, or sometimes 3" longer than stock. Allowing the rear to settle lower than normal. Go check it out sometime. You'll see what I mean.

Only rubbing if any, is at right front making hard left U turn. This happens like 1 out of 5 left U turns. Knockt my speedo off by like 4mph, but was corrected with the Bully Dog GT.

Thanks. I just googled the shackles and have an idea now. Whats the better way to drop the rear? block removal or shackles? Sorry for the jack
