As others have said, and as described in geno's tablet mounting thread, to get any sound from a phone or tablet, you need to have the radio in Bluetooth Audio mode. Of course, then any audio needs to also come from the phone.

I've read elsewhere, and will try to find the info again, of people setting up a TTS (text to speech) app (i.e. AudioBT) to handle the directions, and it will then play them through the speakers used for voice commands while still playing the radio through other speakers.

Although I'm certain it is possible, I haven't figured out the working setup yet, and the other forum was confusing since people were chiming in with all kinds of different vehicles. I was hoping that someone on here would have done it and could be more vehicle specific to help me.

If I figure anything out (in my limited time to test) then I will make sure I pass on the word.
