Phone gps thru truck speakers
Hey guys. I noticed my phones gps only comes thru the trucks speakers when I'm in a call with someone. I was wondering is there a way to set it up so it can when not in a call. It's not a necessity but It'd be cool. I listen to my music fairly loud so my phones volume isn't always up

What source are you using for your music?
Mine will come through the speakers only if I am listening to audio from the phone (ex. Bluetooth or Aux). Anything else and it does not work (ex. Sat or FM).

My Map app (IPhone) will only come through the speakers if I am set to Bluetooth audio. Similar to just about any other app I've used...
However when I use google maps... it will interrupt the radio/aux/satellite radio and interject the information.

Brett, I use Sync Destinations App over Bluetooth on my samsung Note 3! I have no issues with it, give audible directions over whatever Source I'm listening too....
Except it won't give them over phone calls(Call takes Priority), also displays miles to next turn or exit plus the name of next turn/exit!
Also my friend said they were having issues with they're GS4, till they did a recent Update to the phones Android Software! Might wanna check in the Settings, to see if you have a Available Update!

Ive had no issues whatsoever using it, and have since my truck was new 1 & 1/2 yrs ago... Salesman set it all up for me in my truck, as well as using it on my Android phone!
It's very easy though...

For those who are "having no problem using it", are you listening to FM radio while getting directions, or what? Also, what instrument/radio package do you have?
Obviously, if listening to music from your phone, the GPS will always work without an issue.
I have the basic Sync system (no 4" or 7" display on the console, only the 4" in the instrument cluster) and can't figure out how to get GPS audio from my phone while listening to the truck's FM radio.
I've read several things about the Android apps Soundabout and AudioBT, but can't figure out how to get them to play GPS audio while listening to the truck radio.

I use Google Maps on my S3 and listen to Pandora via Bluetooth when I need Navigation. That way I get any sound coming off the phone (including Nav) through the speakers.
