Default Phone call from Ford engineering

Today I had a rep from Ford engineering call me to discuss an issue that I complained about in the survey i filled out a few months ago. I have had a wind noise issue between the top corner of the door and the b pillar since I purchased the truck in Feb but have not had time to take it in to the dealer to get it fixed.
Basically the drivers door needs adjustment to bring the top of the door in tighter to fix the wind noise and the fact that the door is loose on the latch and jiggles when going over bumps.
I was impressed that they took the time to call and discuss this issue with me and after explaining the issue he agreed with my diagnosis and said they would emphasize proper door adjustment with their installers and quality control people.

That is really strange. I too got a call from a Ford engineer today about wind noise. He left a voice mail and said that he would call me back to discuss the notice that I listed on a survey. PROBLEM IS I have not filled out a survey and I do not have any wind notice problems.

So? Your truck still has the noise. He did little to help you.

Default Impressed

Your truck should have been put together correctly in the first place. Not impressed.

I sure wish they'd call back the people who have oily turbocharger hoses, shuddering on takeoff and when towing, ad infinitum.

I wish the wind noise engineer would call me. Passenger side has had every piece of weatherstrip replaced and the noise is still there. Sound like a window in cracked open

I wish that cat would call me and I could carefully explain how everything develops rattles if one drives down class 5 township roads as well as how rattles that have been designed in since 2004 happen in the cold.

I can even tell him how to fix them.
