PETITION: Ecoboost Guage Update
Under Gauge Mode/Gauge Detail there is the first output of Transmission Temperature.. when you select the next option to the right, there is a blank screen... Ford should put a Boost Gauge here for Ecoboost equipped trucks

you can put a boost gauge where the coin holder is on the dash (on non 4wd vehicles), but i would rather something integrated into the system, somehow Ford left this out...

its a kinetic display of instant positive air pressure going into the intake manifold.. you need one because it can accurately describe any malfunction of forward motion without tripping the service engine indicator...

Jed-- forced induction engines (with turbochargers or superchargers) have positive pressure in the intake, rather than vacuum like you'd see on a naturally aspirated engine. The positive air pressure "forces" more air into the combustion chamber, and eventually leads to MOAR POWA!!!
So the boost gauge shows you how much pressure is built up from your turbo/supercharger.
