Default Penda Tonneau Cover Installed!

I just wanted to let you guys know that i believe the type of cover you have can affect gas mileage. I just switched from a folding vinyl "Tonno Pro" cover to a hardtop, painted to match cover from Ford (Made by Penda) My gas mileage went up about .4 mpg so far. That's with 2 weeks of testing to make sure. I guess since it's a smoother surface, it's possible that i'm not crazy here. I really love this cover by the way. Does anyone else have one?

Default Variables

I forgot to mention though, it's safe to say that due to the many variables, it's always a good idea to cut these figures in half, so i'd say about a .2 mpg improvement. What little it may be, i'm still happy with it.

If anyone is interested, you can buy these through Ford. The Part number is A9150-99501A42

I like how it covers all of the black trim. That stuff really fades eventually in the sun here in Texas. I hit up the carwash today...NO LEAKS! That Ford Logo Key Cover thingy pops up but it prevents water and dirt from getting in the keyhole. There's also a light inside the cover, but i forgot to take a pic of that. It's one of those push on, push off lights.
