Default passing inspection with a lift

I'm sure the age old question has been asked. just curious if anyone with a newer f150 and a 6" or so lift has had trouble passing inspection, especially mass if anyone has input from around here. i want the mcgaughy's lift in the worst way, and I'm really close to just saying screw it, but my better judgment sais do your research haha. thanks id like your input good or bad!

Different states have laws regarding bumper height, how much tire is exposed, light heights, how much taller your rear block then the factory one, ect. Having a vehicle fail inspection doesn't always mean it's unsafe, it just may not conform to that states standards for what's acceptable.

here in taxachusettes most things fun are illegal. plenty of people do it, but i don't have any special friends to pass my truck for a sticker. so i was just curious how many people really get hassled over suspension mods

As the saying goes "Everything is illegal in Massachusetts"
I personally am not lifted, but 2 of my friends trucks are. One is a six inch, he passes without any hassle. The other is a few inches higher, I can't say for certain he doesn't swap out his tires when it comes time.
It's tough to have a 'buddy' help you out these days. The stations make decent money off the stickers, and Mass will take your inspection certificate and shred it over the smallest violation. So I've been told...
I would ask some inspection stations, but I think their biggest concern with lifts is the tires sticking out more than 2/3 inches past the fender flair.

yeah i don't plan on having ridiculous offset or anything so the tires shouldn't be a problem, just concerned about them breaking out the tape measure….i mean my windows are illegal but thats easy enough to remove worst case, with the lift once i cut the subframe theres no going back haha, thanks for the input guys

You know I'll txt those guys today, and see what they've done, if anything.
I can say, I've seen the written tickets, for them sticking out to far.
I don't remember them getting hassled by the cops for being too high.
I'll see what they say tho.

In this lawsuit world the lawyers would claim your raised truck defeated crumple zone of the vehicle you crashed into, causing injury to all parties involved.

Do NOT lift your truck if you live in MA. You will get nothing but trouble and will not pass inspection. I had trouble getting it to pass with my tint in my old truck at 28% because 35% is legal.

This is from a fellow mass hole.
