Parking Garages and your 2013 F150

I wouldn't take my truck into ANY garage based on what someone else's truck was able to do. My 2011 EB is my third new F150 and for each one of them one of my first tasks was to measure clearance and record it. I made a sticker which is glued to the back page of my owner's manual and kept in the glovebox. I got all my mods done, including overload springs, before I took the measurements. I measured the truck empty, so it was riding at maximum height.
Because my truck is a work truck, my clearance stickers give separate information for "with ladders" and "without ladders." I've used this info many many times.

The garage at my old workplace was listed at 6' 6" or 78". Based on my tape ruler and a scrap piece of 1.5 " board wrapped in a blanket, I calculated the Platy had about an 1.5" clearance. Got freaked out the first time I drove into the garage. Thought for sure I was going to hit something, but never had a problem. On a subsequent weekend when the garage was nearly empty I went around the garage and stopped at various places to check the clearance. Average clearance was about 3" on ramps. A few spots it was 2.5 ". Level areas had plenty, about 6". YMMV.

What's a parking garage?
JK. We have a couple parking garages in my town, one is public, the others are private, so I haven't ever used them. When I first had my truck in Anchorage, I went to the 5th Avenue garage, and about crapped myself under every lamp, sprinkler head, beam, etc.
Got to the second to last floor of the garage and thought I found a good spot to park. The wife and her girlfriend got out of the truck and started walking towards the entrance, when I decided I wanted to park in a different spot. They kept walking, and I started moving. The wife's girlfriend knows how I baby the truck, so as I was moving forward she looked at me, stopped moving, pointed, and her jaw dropped (making it look like I was about to hit something on the roof). After I about had a heart attack and stopped the truck, she started laughing.
I should have made her walk home.. all 360 miles.

I have a 2012 4x4 with 20's. I will go into a deck with 6' 7" clearance or better. The reason I won't go lower is because some decks have speed bumps that will raise the truck.

The few parking garages I have been in with my 2wd XLT Screw did not leave much room above the cab. All of the parking garages had the same height clearances. I would advise everyone with a 4x4 to measure the height of their trucks if you plan on using any parking garage facilities.

I park in a 6'-8" deck with my 2013. The antenna hits the entrance sign (I need to fix this). Otherwise, there is a few inches of clearance over the cab.
Be mindful of signs, pipes, lights, etc. The comment about the ramps is a good one. A speed ramp (>6 deg) with no parking is usually trouble at the beginning and end. Ramps over 10 degrees should have a short transition to keep cars from bottoming out.
I try to drive in and out the same path each day so there are no surprises.
You can also cut a piece of 1x to your cab height and walk around checking clearance. This will work well except at ramps.
Be aware that many of the deck clearance signs are not that accurate. Some deck owners are conservative with this number to prevent damage. I have found that some signs are also lower than the clearance too.
