Any new answers to this old thread? My parking brake isn't engaged, but light/chime come on whenever the parking/emergency brake has been engaged and been released. 2014, old style mechanical brake. Reading this, I see two points

1. A reference to a TSB, but no link to it, regarding left [driver side] cable
2. Disconnect the chime/light. Great hillbilly engineering idea I would buy - but where is the switch/plug/wire to disconnect?

Thanks for any help. I'll look for the supposed TSB.

I have a 2019 with electronic parking brake, where do I find this switch to unplug?

No idea, this section only has people with 09-14 years. And, thankfully, we don't have that electronic crap.
