There are a couple of "disable xxx chime" in Forscan discussion, but I've never been able to get any of them to change anything in reality. I don't think any of them were related to the parking brake, either.

Personally, I happen to like this chime. Reminds me the few times I forget to take it off in time. Or, if it didn't release quite all the way.

One guy asked this same question in the FORScan thread, but he didn't receive any help either.

Unplug the switch. If it's a normally closed switch, jump the connector with a paper clip and wrap it with electrical tape and secure out of the way of the mechanism.

Nah. I still want the light to work, just not the annoying chime when the brake is on and tranny in gear.

Had the same problem with my 2012 Screw the day I drove it off the lot. Ford has a TSB on this; needs a e-brake cable replacement on the LH side.

??? All my stuff works as intended, I just don't like the chime with the brake activated and the transmission in anything but Park.

So with six-hundred-fifty-three-million-plus of these trucks sold and out there, and NOBODY knows how to do this one simple thing?
Guess I'll plug in the old FORScan and muddle about for a few hours, see if I can find something myself.
