I think it depends on what other mods you have on your truck. Fits right in on mine.

The only color of truck this grille looks good on is black everything else looks terrible. However this truck looks pretty good with it. I don't mean for this to sound mean but the first picture of your truck in this thread looks very ricer now it looks really nice with all the changes.

Thanks for all the posts. Have a 09 lariat and have never been thrilled with the 6 panel grill. Been slowly working on a facelift this year. Just replaced the rims and rear 4x4 decal with a sweet black and chrome one i found on ebay. Already making progress. Now onto the front end. Thinking of doing the raptor style grille but with it just being plain instead of the ford lettering. Maybe use a Ford oval decal/emblem in the middle. Saw a couple mockups over on the 14-17' model year post. Probably would go black oval though.

I just put on the AVS Aeroskin II and think it might actually tie the grille in better. As you can see it has a raised deflector unlike the original that was more of just a hood protector. Can anyone post a picture of their grill at this angle?






Also agree that it would look best with tinted headlights and tailights which I'm already likely going to do. Anyone use the SpecD OEM style headlights? Just picked up the OPT7 LED bulbs so would rather just use OEM style vs HID projector retrofit.

I don't think this turned out bad at all! Thought the chrome bumpers might look odd, but with Aeroskin II and darkened headlights, I think it'll come together nice. Heck of alot better than the fugly 6 panel chrome lariat cross hatch grill. (Will sell mine if I go this route). I tried putting on billet inserts for panels, but it looked odd.

Someone mentioned wrapping the bumpers? With what? Black Vinyl wrap?

That bugs me a bit too. It would look better if it followed the contour of the hood.

Just got mine put on today. I think it looks good. I plastidipped the part of the hood black that shows through.
