Painting wheel wells?????? Suggestions?
Hey guys,
ive got a white s-crew, leveled with bigger tires. Under the rear wheel wells, they are WHITE and stand out like a sore thumb.
Anyone used something that is easy to use to color the wheel wells Black?? that will hold up over time and not chip???
I found some Flat Black Undercoating 3M spray and some Rustoleum undercoating spray for about $8 a can?
anyone used that? did it work? - How long ago did you do it?
any suggestions would be appreciated. I want something that looks good, and once done, i will not need to mess with it again.
tks

Did you power wash before applying ? Dealers like to make things look all pretty with cleaners, silicone sprays, detailing products.

I've heard of people Line-X-ing the wheel wells, making sure to not plug up any outlets for water to drain. The black stuff not just looks decent, but stands up to rock pings and other stuff quite well.

You have to use RUBBERIZED under coating. Spray bed liner or whatever wont work. I tried that with my raptor and it only took one desert trip and there was white poking out everywhere. Resprayed with rubberized and no problems now.
