Default Painted splash guards

Just installed splash guards/mud flaps on my King Ranch.

$75 black plastic splash guards
$150 for the body shop to paint

Turned out nice!

No, the splash guards have some texture similar to the plastic on the mirrors, but it is less noticeable when painted.

They are the ford accessory molded mud flaps. Any ford dealer parts department can get them. If you have running boards they may affect the fit. I would ask if they will work.

Are they strong enough for 4x4ing? They seem good for the price.

looks good. I saw a red and beige Lariat with ones painted just like yours the other day near me. I have painted guards too, had them done over 3 years ago when I got the truck and the paint is still holding up just fine from normal on-road use. They are the Husky brand, and the way they are contoured, I left the very bottom of them unpainted. I've seen other painted guards before and they have nicks or missing paint along the bottom. The body shop only charged me $50.

Looks great guys! I didn't want to run mud flaps on my truck because it's slightly lowered. But my paint is taking an ***** kicking (no running boards either), so I might go this route.

I just can't get into them...painted or not, not on trucks with the moulding around the fender well...it just doesn't fit right. I put mud flaps on EVERY vehicle I've ever had...except my F-150, for this reason.

I hear ya, I don't care for the black guards mounted on painted fender flares (especially on light colored trucks), so that's why I tried them painted to match to help blend in more. Had they been available at the time, I would have just got the Weathertech mud guards since at least they seem to have a little less side profile to them and don't cover up that much of the fender flare.
