Ok cool. So here's my load out lol. Black water based acrylic. Small brush, and oral syringe. For prep I took my truck for a nice bath(disregard) then removed the lights and using my syringe sprayed water down the crevice then used a blow dryer to ensure no water was left. Then just kind of wiped of the rest of the housing. LET IT BEGIN

I'm about 3/4 done. One light has one coat, the other just hasn't had one edge done yet. Once they both dry ill do another quick second or maybe 3rd depending on how it seems to have settled. This is super easy. Get a syringe and a small brush and no problem. I suppose the glue and housings vary with glue and what not but mine has been a synch and looks good to me. Defiantly go acrylic paint. I've gotten it all over the place haha, but with a finger nail or rubbing alcohol if you want to get fancy it comes off no problem and it's the perfect thickness. Touch up might be more durable but it would have been a mess for me. Now we just have to see how well the acrylic holds up. With more than 1 coat I can imagine it will be fine

Of course my last edge is impossible to get to. The tailgate edge on the one lamp had plenty of space. I can't get a tiny brush through this. Wtf am I supposed to do? There is almost no way I can get it in there

I had a little tougher time with that edge too. I just really got a lot of paint on the brush and jammed it in there, twisting and moving the brush around at all different angles to coat every clear area.

BTW be careful with alcohol on the lens, alcohol may dull and fade the clear plastic so it looks foggy.

I just used a damp rag to wipe the mess up. It wiped away with no effort.

Yeah, I finally made it 3/4 up, but now I'm stuck completely on that upper corner. I've done everything, I've cut bristles of to make the brush small as possible but I just can't get it in there. And I think it's just too thick to drip down that much. I thought about the microwave which I've always dreaded doing, but I just don't know enough down that avenue and am also too chicken. Looks like they'll be out tomorrow too dammit. I'm hoping paint doesn't dry over potentially not covered areas. I'd like to get a can of spray paint with that straw type nozzle, but I'm worried the paint won't match. Since it'll be out tomorrow too I might as well silicone it. I did use some rubbing alcohol but it seems fine. This has also made me notice how many of these little pinstripes are all over the lens

don't do spraypaint - i tried that on the 3rd light and found that the propellant etc that would normally evaporate when applied away from the surface really screws it up (i put the nozzle right on the edge thinking it would force the paint in and make quick work of it...not even close)

Long bristles will work better. I went into those corners from the sides, kinda going up into that corner...if you are talking about what I think you are.

You have water-based paint, put some bottled water in it. Pour some paint in a small bottle cap, mix in a few drops of water at a time until its how you want it. Then try the method Steve suggested.

edit: Thats a big brush. Got get these...http://www.testors.com/product/13693...omy_Brush_Pack
This is what I used for the whole thing.
