Painted Edges on Taillights looks very clean and easy to do!
#662
I just did this on my Sterling Grey FX2. I gotta say, I had a few 4 letter words for the OP when I was doing this. He should really change the title to "Painted Edges on Tailights looks good, but doing it might ruin your day." Seriously this was not easy and took several coats and a mid-project trip to the paint store. I will say it might have been the paint I chose initially, but still, this project sucked. There are a lot of imperfections in mine, but they aren't that noticeable unless you are really looking closely.

I just used plain old cheap gloss black paint from the hardware store, nothing fancy, worked fine.

That's night shade. That project was extremely easy compared to the tail light edges. I did 3 coats plus 3 coats of clear. If I could do it again I would've only done 2 clear and I would have focused my night shade a bit more on the sides and edges. Still looks way better than stock though.
