Seriously this was not easy and took several coats and a mid-project trip to the paint store. I will say it might have been the paint I chose initially, but still, this project sucked. There are a lot of imperfections in mine, but they aren't that noticeable unless you are really looking closely.
Florida, did you use night shade for your 3rd light or did you get a new smoked one?

I know a lot of guys had used the tuxedo black, but most ran out half way through, and I think some might have resorted to black finger nail polish. If you find something that sticks well post it up.

I just used plain old cheap gloss black paint from the hardware store, nothing fancy, worked fine.

That's night shade. That project was extremely easy compared to the tail light edges. I did 3 coats plus 3 coats of clear. If I could do it again I would've only done 2 clear and I would have focused my night shade a bit more on the sides and edges. Still looks way better than stock though.

Can anyone tell me how to do the inside edge (tailgate edge) I did the outside but it didn't seem like I could get the brush in that edge. Searched back through the thread but couldn't find it, but I did find pictures of people who have it done.
