Default Painted Bumpers

I'm working on replacing the chrome parts on my 2012 F150 screw and having a tough time finding the front bumper I want. In a perfect world I'd like an OE bumper the same color as my truck but I'd settle for black. The questions I have are:

1. Has anyone bought an unpainted bumper like the one I've linked and had it painted professionally? If so how did that experience go? https://www.americantrucks.com/ford-...7757-dptm.html

2. The reviews I've read about "paint a part" companies like https://paintedautoparts.com/ are extremely mixed. Does anyone know of a company that paints parts to order that you trust?

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks

I spray painted mine in 30 minutes but I’m sure that doesn’t help you lol

Take a look at these. They are called BUMPERSHELLZ. They are plastic covers held on with double-sided 3m tape. You can order them paintable, or with other finishes. I used these on my chrome rear bumper and the fit is incredible. If I didn't tell you it was a chrome bumper with a cover over it, you wouldn't know without climbing under the truck. I put a Harley Davidson cover on the front of my truck. Ecoological did not have a bumpershellz available for the front of the 12th gen trucks yet. I love the looks of my Harley bumper, but it requires deleting the tow hooks which I am not a fan of. If I could do it over, I'd use these covers front and rear in a heartbeat.

Paint on chrome... impressive. did you do any prep? I know paint peels off chrome in a few years.

Pull the chrome bumpers, DA sand them, spray and epoxy primer and paint them.

Dang those do fit really well. I did a little bit of research on bumpershellz and there was some mention of fitment issues but yours looks super clean, you're right I wouldn't be able to tell otherwise. Thanks for the suggestion!
