I have the FX running boards. The gray ones. And am planning to paint them black. What should I use to paint them? I've heard RockerGuard is good, but can't find it anywhere. Has anyone done this before? What have y'all used?

Paint them invisible. Truck looks MUCH cleaner without them, but to each his own I guess.

+1, if it wernt for the fact that my wife needs to put the baby in the back seat, my FX4 running boards would have been gone the first week i owned it.

I would take them off, I like the look without them better. 2 reasons I can't: I can't get out of the truck without sliding off the seat if these steps aren't there. I have a pet peeve of wrinkled leather bolster seats. So I need the steps to let me get in and out of the truck without sliding on the seats. And second, I can't find the AMP power boards for a good price. I know someone that picked some up at a 4 wheel parts expo for $100. That would be ideal. But until then, I'd like to get mine black so it matches the truck better. Will probably do the grille as well. Just don't know what the best way to do that would be.

Line-X (or some product like it) 'em. They'd be ...
  • black.
  • non-slip.
  • durable.

Best $100 ever spent ZMAM. I'd trade them in a heart beat for those sweet headlights you have. Haha

You found AMP power steps for a hundred bucks? I'm so jelly Smuckers is going to sue me for trademark infringement.

Do they make a line-x that the consumer can spray? Or does it all have to be done by a professional?

Well all I can say is I will be at that next 4 Wheel Parts expo in Dallas. Don't know why I wasn't there for the last one to be honest.
